In my opinion this is/was a very good app. It cross platformed extremely well between Android, iOS and Windows through your Gmail account. The problem is it is coming to an end -- and features are being removed and the Hangouts servers are supposed to be closing by the end of the year. If you are just considering this app now, go with Google "Chat" instead as that is the direction Google is now going. Google "Chat" is now free and you don't have to pay for it like you did in the past.

Hello, the app is nice but it lacks some minor improvements, please add the feature to send voice messages and bring back the feature to make a phone call using the classic Google Hangouts and thank you google.

This is not a very good app for uploading photos. The uploading is extremely slow, and to get the app to even work properly, I have to constantly clear the app data and cache. It also does not upload pics in the correct order. Otherwise, it's great for private texting with my fiancee. When do you plan on addressing the issue concerning the extremely slow uploading of pics and videos?? I have yet to hear back on when or if you plan to do something about this problem. You're only getting 1 star!

I have been using this app for a while now and never faced any issues. But these days the app isn't working properly. Everytime I want to open it it says that Hangouts keeps stopping please try again later. But when I uninstall it and install it again it works fine. The only thing is that I can't keep uninstalling and installing again and again. Also, I would love it if you add an option so you can delete messages. The delete for you option and delete for everyone. Please fix the problem. Thanks

My only complaint is that it does support texting through Google voice anymore. Also, in general, im getting annoyed that Google keeps trying to reinvent something to compete with iMessage and Zoom, or whatever is new, instead of maintaining support for their existing apps. Hangouts was great, voice was great, they were great together. Ever since the duo fiasco, hangouts has taken a dive. And, G has done this before I think, though I can't place an example.

This app is good for simple chat but yet, i would suggest group calls on hangouts itself other than google meet and also to make an admin, thats it!
