Once again it's not letting me send pictures or GIF's nor am I getting group messages in said group. It comes singular and says "message expired or not available" this is starting to do this at least once a month. Please get this permanently fixed it's getting highly annoying. It ONLY stops once there is an update to the app. Please fix ASAP None of the suggestions work that you give unless y'all update the app

Since the latest update, I am expecting all kinds of errors when I text and receive texts from IPhone users. This is especially happening with MMS texts (pictures, etc).. on my end it says they were sent, but nobody is receiving them. The only texting that's still working ok is to other Android users also using this app. This is extremely frustrating. I sent feedback through the app.

Glitchy a lot of the time. Android to android phone, no problem most times, especially if they're using this app as well. Not sure why but the last several days it has really struggled to send messages of any kind to iphones. Loads of failed deliveries. I've restarted the app, my phone, I've deleted all of my stored messages. The only thing I haven't done is cleared the app's cache but I'll do that now.

I don't ever write reviews for apps but I'm genuinely frustrated. I've had this texting app for the longest time, and it's worked fine up till about 3-4 days ago. I can send messages (that recipients can see), but it won't allow me to receive texts back. It will show as sent but not delivered. I can't receive texts in general. I've tried just about everything. I've reset my phone, checked my wifi, cleared my cache, updated my phone, went through the settings. Nothing works. Someone help

It's ridiculous that in 2024 there is no option to customize any of the setting for this. No font change, no color change, no background. On top of that it constantly has issues sending messages and receiving. They have delays going through and coming in. It's frustrating because it's the default messaging app being forced on my phone but it's not efficient and it's boring.

Whatever is going on with the latest bug is extremely frustrating. I've done factory resets, cleared storage, reset APN's, nothing seems to work other than a standard SMS message. I can't send or receive pics or videos, group texts or any kind of MMS messages whatsoever. This all started right after the New Year and I see that I'm not the only one. Please fix this ASAP!

About this app

Google Messages is the official Google app for messaging over Rich Communication Services (RCS) with fallback to SMS/MMS. Get more done in your messages with one-tap calendar reminders and emoji replies, and keep your conversations secure with spam protection and end-to-end encryption so you can focus on connecting with the people and businesses you care about — no matter what device they use.

Know when friends are typing or when they've read your message, share high-resolution images and videos, easily add people to a group chat, and experience an all-around richer messaging experience.

End-to-end encryption secures your eligible communications, so no one (including Google and third parties) can read or view your messages and attachments except the person you’re messaging.

If a website is suspicious or unsafe, you’ll be warned before clicking any links. You can also block and report potential spammers to help stop unwanted and fraudulent messages.

Share high-resolution videos directly from your Google Photos library.

Keep the conversation going no matter what device you're on. Enjoy RCS chats with friends on your phone, computer, Android tablet, or smart watch with the Messages app.

Access suggested replies, one-tap calendar reminders, link sharing, and more without leaving your message. Reply quicker and get more out of your conversations with smart actions.

Suggested responses, gifs, and emojis make conversations faster and more fun. Reply back to messages with just a tap and keep the conversation going.
