It is unfortunate that Line is so popular in some countries, such as Taiwan. Its almost necessary to use it. But it is an outdated pile of junk. It does not cache messages on the cloud. It does not allow you to transfer history between iOS and Android. And its very easy to get permanently locked out during phone transfer process. They offer essentially zero support. Time for this thing to be abandoned.

Completely unreliable when it comes to chat notifications. I get some notifications from the same friends and not others. It's a lottery as to whether or not I get notifications from the same friend. I have to keep opening the app to check for messages. It happens with any of my friends - frustrating, why bother to use notifications? Stop trying to do fancy things and get the basics right.

Ever since the app updated, I am unable to dial out via phone or video call. It shows "network error" or "unable to make call. please try again". The chat function doesn't work either, I cannot send anything at all. Not sure what happened since I was able to use the app fully less than a week ago, and not it's completely useless. I'm disappointed with this version.

Only using cause it's widely used here. Otherwise, it's the worst messaging app I have ever used: 1. Full of bugs: when someone calls you the call gets stuck and you cannot even answer. 2. Full of ads. I totally get it that's how they make money. But for the service they provide it's not worth it. 3. Horribly complicated UI. 4. Why do I have to add everyone I want to text as a friend? I mean what is the purpose behind this stupid idea. Now I have to manually delete all of those.

My biggest disappointment is the UX design of this app login features that impact users when the account phone number is no longer active. All other apps I've encountered with this issue have a working solution so I can keep my data and contacts. The last solution was to create a new account. My content and data still lives on their platform and they won't provide me any viable way to verify my account and add the new phone number. I don't recommend this app at all. Don't waste your time.

My only problem is that you can only use it on one device at a time. I wish it could be used on two devices without it logging you out and removing from 2nd device. The versatility of being able to use on two devices would be useful for people who use multiple devices. I use both my tablet and phone, but if I open Line on one device, it logs me out and removes everything from my other device and vice versa.
