I am constantly having issues where Google Sheets goes into view only mode. It'll only happen on certain spreadsheets. I can edit them on desktop so it seems to be an issue with the app. Needing to make edits quickly on mobile and not being able to is extremely frustrating. I have Google One and I'm thinking of switching to a different suite of services altogether because it's really unacceptable now unreliable it is.

I love this app and use it constantly. It would get five stars, except for one thing. You cannot create named ranges, which I would use constantly, if I could. I've tried emailing about it, and get a message saying that the address is no longer being monitored. I'm honestly annoyed. This is the best spreadsheet app I know, but the exclusion of this already-existing feature is seriously hampering my workflow. So I'm making some noise here with the hopes of catching someone's attention.

Since new update, the first time trying to copy a row crashed the app. Immediately following that crash, it now crashes every time I try to reopen that or ANY spreadsheet as soon as I touch any cell. Cleared cache of Sheets, Drive, Gboard (the cache inside the app options itself and the apps' caches in Android). No change. Rendered completely unusable.

PLEASE fix filtering on mobile devices!! It would be so freaking fantastic if I could just my stupid slicer OR filter on my phone/on-the-go...but I can't..."only available on desktop"...and it looks like this has been a problem for a while now with many reporting the same issues...PLEASE FIX!! Would absolutely use this daily!

Almost unusable. I need to dig into my phone's settings and delete the app data frequently. The ONLY thing I use this for is tracking my workout at the gym, and it can't even manage light use of a basic spreadsheet without getting forced into "view only mode" and requiring a reset. It can even happen in the middle of using it. The fact this is still happening in 2023 is frankly astounding. This is on a phone that just released this year. I'm going to try Excel instead, Google clearly won't fix.

A year later, and the dumb app still forces you into a VIEW ONLY state despite being the ONLY owner and viewer of files. And, the only way around it is to uninstall and reinstall the app. And this isn't a new bug, this has been around for a few years now and Google refuses to fix it. This could be a damn good app if you actually listen to the folks that use the app. But, guess that's too much like right. Go figure....
