My biggest problem is not being able to choose which band to connect to. 2.4GHz or 5GHz. You should be able to manual pick what devices you want to change or at least disable one or the other. When you have a device that can only connect to a 2.4 and the only way to set it up is through an app on your phone with the same wifi your screwed. Please please please fix this.

The setup was successful. I just can't get my router to connect to the Google wifi app. It prompted me to call Google customer support, where the app said they are available 24/7. I called, automated message says they are closed and call during their normal business hours. (which it never states before it automatically hang up the line.)

I love Google wifi. It integrates into the overall ecosystem marvelously as Nest security is the perfect complementary service. It allows you to prioritize your Stadia, or individual devices. Google assistant is starting to get much more integrated into the system as well. All in all the wifi app is pretty awesome. The down side is you have no real customizable options. You can't use the app to go into monitor mode or capture your own packets with it.

Two main issues: 1. It's time for one app. 2. True bridge support. Managing two apps is confusing. It's time to roll the Nest, home, and Wifi apps into one unified app. Secondly, the Nest mesh network doesn't support true bridged mode when companion points are used. It makes it very cumbersome when attempting to integrate a robust security option like Firewalla.

This app is garbage when it comes to the Google WiFi settings. When you try and set up the Google WiFi it tells you the range is OK but if you try the exact same thing on the Google Home app it shows a different connection level. Contacted support 3 times and said it was raised to a higher level of support but 2 weeks later still no response. Each person you speak with has different answer. App needs better controls to manage 2.4 GHz levels and other advanced controls.

The app is now migrating to the google home app which is ludicrous. I don't want google assistant to touch my wifi network when it can't even change the song. I hope they offer integration into google home only for those who want it, otherwise quite a few of us are gonna need to find new a new brand. The integration has little reasoning behind it but I can guess the main part is for better monitoring of your wifi/network usage.
