I've used the Gmail app for many years and have always loved it! Never had any issues until recently. For the last few weeks, randomly when I open my Gmail, it won't let me open my emails. when I tap on them, they just turn grey instead of opening. Then I have to close out the app. If I reopen it, it just does the Gmail loading page. It will continue to do that until I restart my phone. This has been really frustrating.

Since I upgraded my phone to the S22 Ultra a couple years ago, I do not receive new email notifications. I've turned all the notifications, and I still have to open the app to see that I have new messages. PLEASE fix as this is my primary email, and others are having the same problem. I've followed all the suggestion in the articles, and it still doesn't check for new email unless I open the app. Tried those articles too with no success. Gmail works fine in iOS.

I recently noticed that I'm not receiving any notifications . Although when you open email you instantly receiving all the emails. This is very frustrating because the main function of the email to receive instant notification. I tried all possible solutions and options even factory reset. Nothing helped. Although business email account which is linked to Gmail , notifications works fine. I end up installing Microsoft Outlook to manage my 3 email accounts. Which by the way works perfectly.

Goes wild when you add additional email providers. Sometimes after I delete an email from another provider, it reappears. Emails disappear after deleted, don't end up in any trash...then they might reappear a few hours later. I've even received emails for the first time 3 or more hours after the time stamp shows. Still seems like Google, as big as it is could make an email system that works and does what it says it's supposed to do!!! just got the same emails 8 times and deleted 8 times.

It's okay, does the work, but acts weird sometimes. Just recently, I sent an email, it got stuck in my outbox for some reason. I found out a day or two later. I looked at the email before sending it again it was all good. I go to "sent" to see if it was sent and part of the email was missing. This was an important email too. That's very confusing. Honestly, the app is kinda trash. Outlook is generally better. I may have to slowly switch to Outlook. The app has better features.

Was working fine until a few weeks ago and now I get no notifications. I still receive the email, but there's no noise or visual indication that its there. Please don't link me to generic help article I've already done everything in the ones posted in the reviews. I've checked that notifications are turned on in both gmail and android. Sync is working properly. I've restarted the phone several times, the app is the latest version.
