Like others, I woke up several days ago to find this update on my Pixel 5. Now I have constant problems sending and receiving texts from/to iPhones. Multiple copies of the message get sent, of they send at all. Please fix this, Google. This is not my problem and using text is the thing I use most on my phone. Uninstalling the app, disabling auto updates, and using Wifi texting only is not solving the problem.

Fix the app google! I don't even know what this app does other than ruin my life. I had to uninstall it and remove auto update in order to even use my new Pixel 5. It looks like this has been an issue for a while and it has not been fixed which is negligent since it comes with the phone automatically.

The description utility permission access etc and basic Info for carrier A B type is lacking within the app. A proper description is required within this app even more after treble... Describe what update does? Are the esim settings enable constantly and automatically trigger without further safeguard confirmation?? -- This is everybody's concerns and a void on security that may facilitate unknown take over/ pass over in access.

Please indicate when the updates have been tested with your pixel phones. Pixel 3A was not working with the update as of late March 2021. Only way to get cell data was to roll back updates. Would love to run the most current version, but can't risk disabling my "made for Google Fi " phone!

The background application constantly causes errors on Pixel phones. Google haven't provided update release notes for their own software which sets a poor example and means that Pixel uses have to prevent the auto-update on this application with no indication on whether they should retry it again in future.

Terrible and pointless. My brand new pixel phone had issues straight away with this app. Constant error messages. Had to turn off auto update on this app. Cant seem to get rid of it off the phone.
