I wanted to keep Google Assistant on so I could just say, "hey google" and look something up, but without it working while my screen was locked.. it kept thinking I was talking to it when I wasn't and it was really annoying. I kept searching for a way to keep it voice activated but just remove it from functioning when the screen was locked but couldn't find anything. I eventually had to just shut it off. Annoying.

Google Assistant is just great!!! We can use it for controlling the device, for controlling apps, and for calling someone, all with voice commands!! We can also tell it to tell a joke, roll dice, flip a coin, and tons of other great features. This is light years ahead of Siri, the garbage assistant by Apple

Sometimes I have a hard time navigating back to the options at the assistant gives me work with to make my day today he's easier. I know it's just a matter of learning I guess I just have a hard time staying focused and being patient enough to read each of the directions! It seems simple enough I just need to follow the steps. I don't know, any suggestions?

It was great at first but now its just so annoying! It keeps popping up when im listening to music! I tried to disable it but it doesnt work! Everytime i say something with my headphones on, it pops up! It can be useful at times but I absolutely dislike that it doesnt listen. Whenever you say something that it cant understand, it just stops and the app hangs. Pls help fix this or pls tell me how to stop it from disrupting my music. I dont mean to be rude but i cant stand it anymore. πππ€

Ok Google No longer responds to voice commands. Yes I've retrained the voice over, and over again. And yes, I've restarted the phone several times and I have the Pixel4 . This started happening after the Android 11 system update. Gives me the same error "Google can't be reached at the moment" . And yes, all permissions are turned on! You know what, It would be really nice if someone at Google would actually answer the phone when we call too. And stop using "Due to Covid-19" garbage.

This is an excellent app. It not only adds a convenience it also promotes safe driving. I recently had a problem where it wouldn't respond; or drop out midway through an answer. I cleared the cache and data storage on both the Google and the Assistant Apps. I did this through the App access in the phone settings. Turn Hey Google back on under Voice in Google App settings. Now it's working perfectly. I've put this here in the hopes that it may help someone else. Excellent App! Highly recommend.
