It can't identify any music that's not very very very well known so therefore I can't really identify any music that you can't identify yourself. it's just pointless and it only identifies music you're already tired of and fed up with but it never can recognize anything that I don't already know the name of myself. Its a good idea but waste of resources. Yet at another pointless Google failure. Please Google. you used to be great.

The ambiance is terrible on this pixel 5G.

I love the idea! If only it worked. I've had this phone a week. When it stopped working I assumed I turned it off somehow, but I couldn't figure out how. So I just did a factory reset. It worked for about 18 hours, then stopped again. Definitely not something I did, no wonder I couldn't figure it out! In fact, it doesn't even show up in my apps. I came here to turn it back on, and now it's telling me the name every 30 seconds. SMH

I can not do an update, it's not offered as an option. After 45 minutes online with Google support who tried multiple ways to get this to work it's still not an option. Please help 🙏🙏

Works as intended, but I must ask - great with lots of songs, but barely picks up *any* of the rock and metal tunes I play. What gives? Would love if this app worked with all genres.

Not sure what happened. I have all gestures turned off, and the phone has a mind of its own. Screen turns on randomly, double tap to wake works when it wants to, ambient display pops up randomly whether I set the phone down, take it out of my pocket, or have it plugged in to charge. These issues are becoming very bothersome. Who tests these software updates? Google wants to replace my phone. It's not the phone, it's your software!!

About this app

When music is playing nearby, it will automatically show up on your lock screen. With just a tap, save the song to a playlist or open it in your favourite apps. This works in real time; knowledge about thousands of songs has been built into your phone. This means no audio is ever stored on your phone or sent to Google to identify music, and it can even work offline.
