I appreciate that this came preinstalled on my Android 10 phone, and I am loving the step tracking. But a HUGE problem is the inability to edit a workout. Let's say for example that I start to track my yoga workout by hitting start. By the end of the workout I am so zenned out that I forget to hit stop. You'd think I could go back and edit the amount of time, right? So the app doesn't think I did yoga for three hours? I can't.

While I like the steps/HR data, and the walk mapping is really nice, the "heart points" are a frustrating mess! (Yes I used the in-app Developer contact.) They disappear for no reason, making it a useless metric. Sometimes they come back, but they don't stay. For example, mine went up to 15 or 16 yesterday, dropped down to 3 at the end of the night, went back up to 15 an hour or two later, now the next morning they dropped to 2 for that day! Steps and heart rate data for that day are unchanged.

It used to be reasonably accurate before the last updates, but now, it's a Lottery. On a walk that is about 3000 steps, Fit now gives me anywhere between 1800 and 2400 steps. Worse, it backtracks on steps taken. Today, at 5984, 20 mins later it revised that down To 5647. Once 2020 is over, its gone from my phone, unless it is made more stable, because I just don't trust it any more. Over to you Google.

I love the app because it'll help me keep track of calories burned while I walk, but this past week it hasn't been tracking all of my walks. Like, it'll not track my walk from home to my destination point . I have location and tracking turned on, and I went to the help article and tried what it said to do, but it's still not tracking accurately or at all. Solve this issue 😬

After the next-to-last update, the app has started to ignore entire long walks in measuring step counts, etc. For example, yesterday I took three different walks, each of over a half-mile, but the journal recognized only the first of them. All settings appear to be normal so it appears that the app has gone kablooie. UPDATE: Thanks, but I had already read the article and all the settings were already as recommended. As other reviews make clear, this problem is not device-dependent.

Have been using this app for years and have always really liked it. Changed my mind last update, no longer seems to have a "path" showing where I've walked. I hike and like to see the path a travel while in the woods. Also it doesn't seem to sync my steps with myfitnesspal since last update. Please fix so I don't have to find another app.

About this app

Get to a healthier and more active life with the new Google Fit!

It's hard to know how much or what kind of activity you need to stay healthy. That's why Google Fit collaborated with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA) to bring you Heart Points, an activity goal that can help improve your health.

Activities that get your heart pumping harder have tremendous health benefits for your heart and mind. You'll earn one Heart Point for each minute of moderate activity like picking up the pace when walking your dog, and double points for more intense activities like running. It takes just 30-minutes of brisk walking five days a week to reach the AHA and WHO's recommended amount of physical activity shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep, and increase overall mental wellbeing.
