I don't recommend updating to version 8.0.2, because if you do mini apps will stop working. And if you did go to official WeChat website and download update from there. Currently there is version 8.0.7 available and mini apps work just fine. It puzzles me how Google play has outdated and broken version as an only option right now. I hope this information is useful. The latest update of WeChat yesterday made it completely unusable on LG V30, the app simply won't launch at all. There must be a bug in their latest update that if you use your phone's SD card as WeChat's storage then this latest update v8.02 would make your WeChat not been able to launch. If you change its data storage to use your phone's internal memory then WeChat would come back alive.

The latest update made me completely unable to use mini program. Every time I want to use one, it keeps saying "failed to load Mini Program browser component". Also the location service is restricted? Could you fix these problems?

After updating to V.8.02 the WeChat pay feature no longer works (crashes as soon as I try to use it). There are many comments on this, yet WeChat has still not fixed such a critical feature.

Since the new update, I can't use mini programes, wechat payment and location services. Please fixed this ASAP or let us go back to an older version. We need to access our Green health codes.
