Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing WifiP2PShare on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

About this app

Features:

1. App needs to be installed by one person only.
2. All other users can share and receive files regardless of their OS or device.
3. Internet is NOT required.
4. This app is 100% free.
5. Any number of users can connect simultaneously as long as their devices have wifi capability.
6. Chat is also available.
7. Data shared in group is private.
8. File sharing speed is very fast compared to bluetooth.
9. Multiple uploads are supported.
10. Chat and file sharing is done in groups.
11. A group may contain two or more members.
12. Data shared in group is persistent.
13. Files of any type/size can be shared.
14. All data is stored on app owner's device in external storage.
15. Files can be uploaded or downloaded by multiple users (max 254) simultaneously.
16. Cross platform i.e ios, windows, pc, android all can connect to your device.


Instructions:
(For the impatient, See the video above)
1. Tap on the button to start the service.
2. Your device's name, password and web address will be displayed.
3. Ask your friends to scan for wifi. It may take some time for your device to appear.
4. When your device's name appears ask them to connect to it.
5. When prompted for password give them the password which was displayed in the app.
6. This is one time only. As devices can remember wifi password.
7. The app owner does NOT have to perform 3,4,5 steps. Only the users around him.
8. Internet is not required nor is mobile data only your wifi needs to be turned on.
9. Your device acts like a wifi-hotspot.
10. No harm is done if device (app owner) is connected to the internet.
11. Once all users are connected to your wifi-hotspot ask them to navigate to the web address displayed in the app. You may also do so. Please bookmark the link for later access. Ask others to do as well. (For best experience use Chrome Browser)
12. Since your device is hosting the web page internet is not required.
13. Enter your name and group when prompted.
14. Members in the same group can see messages and files shared in that group.
