Having trouble with DVR recording fails (error code 2) with Channel Master Stream+. Channel Master says they can't support the Live Channels app. None of the ways to send feedback about this app seem to work. Google support is no help wither. The Stream+ has two tv tuners. The problem seems to happen when I try to record two shows at once. If I'm not watching and didn't tune to one of the channels scheduled to record, one of the recordings will fail. If I schedule two shows on the same channel to record one after the other while something is recording on the other tuner, frequently the second program will fail and will also cause the program that had already started on the other channel to fail. Several times I checked to make sure the programs I wanted were recording and then either watched something on the dvr or streaming or another tv input. When I went back to see the recordings they had failed! Maybe it is because one program ends at 9pm and the next starts at 9pm and the other tuner has been recording since 8 pm, everything at 9pm failed. This is ridiculous. There's no way to edit the scheduled recording to make it end 1 minute later either!

on ShieldTV: Why do I have to keep turning on "timeshift"? it keeps turning off by itself. can't pause rewind live tv with this off. shouldn't have to toggle it on every time i turn on the tv ?! also, can't set recordings to start early or end later. shows always start recording after the beginning. this is a basic feature of most DVR apps. why can't google figure this simple thing out? this is a deal-breaker with the wife!...On new Chromecast w/ GoogleTV: not included as system app. but can download via official play store. but doesn't show up in app list. have to use sideload launcher to open app. and version in this software doesn't have timeshift/DVR features to record OTA channels or pause, rewind, etc. system updates still being pushed regularly, but key issues not being addressed. ?!

Google somehow broke playback of non-HD content in early 2020. I have a Channel Master CM-7600 Android TV and whenever it records non-HD content with a 16x9 aspect ratio, it plays it back with an incorrect aspect ratio. The aspect ratio is correct if you watch it real time. I have a Full-HD Vizio TV and I've tried it with both the locked 1080p setting and the auto setting. This happens on all non-HD channels in the Denver area. This used to work just fine prior to an update Google released in the first quarter of 2020. HD recorded content (720p or 1080i) always plays back correctly.

Good Attempt. Doesn't show up in Apps list on Chromecast With Google TV. Should Bring up a Live Menu Tab like Youtube TV does, in my Opinion. Really needs a search by Channel name and Search by content name. Xumo Import Broken.

I use Live Channels as an alternative to HDHomeRun app because it has a channel guide and it allows me to see content from other live sources such as PlutoTV. Sometimes there is flickering when watching OTA stations.

So far so good everything works great ! Only issue I’m having is when browsing the guide it likes to skip shards on the time frames gets kind of tedious when trying to scroll .
