This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Out-N-About on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

Stay connected, Stay safe. Working through Telcall+ on the AusTravel Safety Network, the Out-N-About app allows you to locate your family & friends when they are traveling in remote locations. Using a HF radio your loved one has the ability to update their GPS location to the cloud. This GPS location can then be easily viewed on the Out-N-About app, showing exactly where someone is and the time of their most recent GPS update. You can even view GPS location history to see where someone has been traveling. If your family member or friend has not checked in for some time you can send them a message or arrange for an emergency contact to radio them directly.
