Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing OLM@mSoil on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

mSoil is a well thought out monitoring and evaluation framework which is a new age soil data collection system that uses analytical, synthetic or mathematical methods for estimating performance indicators of different agricultural projects. This framework uses innovative analytics, synthetic or mathematical approaches to answer key questions pertaining to agriculture related projects.

As part of soil data collection for the quarterly/half-yearly/annual reporting of different projects, the M&E team along with the Digital Agriculture team uses. Msoil offers contextual and role-based dashboard is automatically presented with the summaries, trends, etc. against defined indicators. The application automatically aggregates the data thus saving time and effort. Msoil aims to make the most out of data collection by avoiding accidental errors through logic branching and through automatic analysis.
