While I love using Firefox for its extensions, and for what it stands for, using the Android version can be a real pain. Firefox for Android aggressively jettisons anything in memory even if you *think* about looking at another tab, another app, or even using your app switcher. What this means is it's a huge pain to use 3rd party password management apps, or 2 factor authentication apps, because the page will reload when you go back to Firefox, making it impossible at times to log in to sites.

Came from Chrome for add-on support, stayed for sync, better tab handling, the ability to open links from the share sheet in the browser, and generally more neutral UI. Scrolling is seriously laggier than it was in Chrome but ok. Would like to see the gradient loading bar removed (make it solid color, light gray on dark theme/black on light) and the shadow under it as well, it looks weird. Also store tab thumbnails in the app's data, not cache, I'm losing them on every reboot because of this.

Better features than stable, and doesn't seem particularly unstable, but still room for improvement. More extensions is nice. Importing settings from stable or nightly could be easier, and Send Tab(s) to Device fails almost every time. Can't rule out network trouble, but I'd hope it would try again and recover gracefully in a minute. Still a few websites fail to run properly, sometimes there are infinite captchas, but I suspect this is more due to devs not testing on Firefox :(

It's now much noticeably faster. We can also organize our bookmarks, yay! Private browsing is also well done. Now the bad. The user friendly tabs are gone, it is now much more time intensive to organize and flip between them. Extensions are gone. I'm sure they'll resurface eventually as developers get onboard, but I'm already missing them. We can listen to audio with the screen off again without an add-on (provided it is not YouTube). Unfortunately, it cuts off after a couple of minutes

Not a fan of the Pocket stuff on the homepage now, but at least it looks nice and (more importantly) can be disabled. Likewise, the "Inactive Tabs" feature is a decent way to keep focus, but a fully featured "tab grouping" feature where the user can create their own groups would be better. I know Nightly is trying to automate this process, but it's not particularly intuitive. Still, the base browser is still decent, and if I ever need to disable "Inactiy Tabs" I can do so easily.

Webpages are cached and are usually reloaded from that cache when the app is restarted, which can be slow and can show outdated information. Otherwise, I find the browser pretty snappy. In terms of features, I enjoy the new tablet mode interface! Pull down to refresh still hasn't been implimented, however. There is currently an allowlist of extensions, and the allowlist hasn't changed for a while. I enjoy using this browser for the most part.
