참선도량 한국 선문화연구원 성본(性本)입니다.

그동안 불교 TV를 통하여 선학특강과 선불교특강, 임제어록을 강의하면서 많은 불자님들과 불법의 인연을 나누게 되었고, 제불 보살님의 원력과 크나큰 가피로 한국 선문화연구원 홈페이지를 개설하게 되었습니다.

출가 이후 경전과 어록을 공부하면서 불법 공부와 참선 수행의 구법행각에 벌써 40여년이라는 시간이 흘렀습니다.

그 동안 선불교의 역사와 조사선의 성립 문제를 연구한 [중국 선종의 성립사 연구] [간화선의 이론과 실제] [선종의 전등설 연구] [선의 역사와 사상] [선불교 개설]등에 관한 연구 논문을 출간하였고, 특히 선불교의 세계에 매료되어 일본 고마자와(駒澤)대학에서 선승들의 어록을 공부하면서 참선수행의 길에 몰입하게 되어 임제록, 육조단경, 무문관, 벽암록 등의 어록도 번역 출간하였습니다.

불교의 경전과 어록이 모두 한자로 기록되어 있어 현대인이 접근하기가 쉽지 않고, 한글로 번역하는 일 또한 어려움이 있습니다. 자칫 글자 중심으로 번역하면 불법의 대의와 어긋나는 내용이 되어 오해하는 경우가 생깁니다.

우리나라에서 [금강경]을 중심으로 많은 대승 경전이 번역되었습니다만, [금강경]의 법문이나 선승들의 선문답(禪語)의 갈등에서 고뇌하는 불자들이 경전과 어록의 법문을 오해하고, 잘못 이해한 언어로서 오히려 중생의 심병(心病)과 선병(禪病)에 빠져 정법의 수행을 하지 못하는 현실입니다.

선승들의 선어록은 대승 경전을 토대로 한 설법이므로 경전과 어록을 함께 공부해야만이 정법의 법문을 여법하게 이해해서 여실하게 참선 수행을 할 수가 있습니다,

이제 저희 한국 선문화연구원에서는 대승경전과 어록, 선학, 선문학, 선문화, 선과 다도등을 강의하면서 구법 원력과 함께 정법을 수행하는 참선도량의 문을 활짝 열겠습니다.
