Where are the setup instructions? This is not obvious to many of us! I want something that forces encryption on absolutely all connections made by my phone, specifically the HTTP connections through Port 80 that so many apps make all the time.

Fantastic. Compatible with Stunnel server running on Windows. Had it working in minutes. Super-clean UI. I'm using it to wrap socks5 in SSL for privacy.

About this app

TLS/SSL Tunnel provides TLS Connections for other (terminal) programs like ConnectBot from a local port to a remote TLS secured application. Create and open your tunnel and connect with your terminal program to the local port instead.

* No root neccessary.
* supports CAcert certificates
* only for services with TLS support on remote side.

Rights:
* Internet access is needed for obvious reasons :)
* Apps2SD is not supported as we need a background service to manage tunnels and connections.
* Read from external Storage is needed to import certificates from device storage.

Note:
If you need to use a self signed certificate, you have two options now:
1.) You can add it to you standard Android keystore via (Settings > Security > Install from SD Card)
2.) You can Import the Certificate from within Tunnel and configure your Tunnel to use "Custom Cert Store")
3.) In order to import "file.pem" from local storage type the filename or use "file:" as prefix. The file will be searched in the local "external storage area" (normally /storage/emulated/0 but YMMV)

(I have some reports that this App might not work on Oreo / Android 8.1)

Keywords: TLS tunnel, SSL tunnel, stunnel

New features

2.1: certificates can now be loaded from Phone storage.

2.0: New option to force "Perfect Forward Secrecy", automatic connection probing with details on connection info. Certificate checking can be disabled now.

2.0beta: User manageable certificates.

1.2: Due to problems with SSLVPN added heavy debugging (use at your own risk!)

1.1: New Option: "Force AES" to remedy preference for RC4 in some SSL environments.

App Permissions

Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
