Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing AU Evacuate on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

AU Evacuate is an app that warns you in the event of evacuations in and around the buildings at Aarhus University. In the app you can see in which specific areas the app is used. The app warns you directly with an alarm sound on your smartphone.

The app keeps you up-to-date with how the event develops and notifies you when it is safe to return to the building.

In the app, you can also read more about evacuations and the emergency response system at Aarhus University.

AU Evacuate is a supplement to the current alarm, notification and evacuation setup at Aarhus University and is also used in evacuation drills.

AU Evacuate can be used by everyone, but it is primarily aimed at students, employees and guests at Aarhus University.

It is recommended that you enable push notifications. Under settings, you can select whether you want to receive text messages and/or emails from AU Evacuate.
