My complex recently decided to use this app. What a joke, you can't log in even after making password. Not only that it messes with your phone, my phone started going slower and my other apps on my phone now don't function properly. This app is a joke and my complex won't listen to what the residents keep complaining about. I'm not happy about this. Wish I could use negative stars.

The only positive reviews are from people that probably work for or know the company. If I could give negative stars I would. App just updated and barely functions. Extremely Poorly designed. None of the menu options work when you try to go into settings. Used to have options to open the gate for a set amount of time, no longer an option. Appears to have extreme request for permission, extremely invasive, resource hog, just bad design. How is this company not sued or out of business?

Now, with the new feature to dial 1 to talk to the person is a real mess. You dial 1 and you can't talk to the person, you can't see the person or OPEN THE DOOR. LOL

Not the most user friendly app. It sometimes work depending if you're already using your phone or if it's asleep. No way to update information on the app

Horrible app. Constantly monitoring permissions in the sketchiest of ways. Constantly setting off alarms on my phone for listening through an active microphone or activating camera. Always displays in the activity bar and won't go away unless you force shut down the app. Also drains the battery more than any app I've had in the last 10 years. Oh and the worst part: IT NEVER WORKS WHEN IT'S SUPPOSED TO! Unless you are staring at your screen with the app open, you will not get notified when someone is at the gate and they will never be let in.

I am unable to log in. I get a message saying "Invalid username/password". Our community just installed Cellgate and we received an email with links to create a password. Followed instructions to create PW, downloaded the app, attempted to login and I got the above message. I have tried several times and continue to get the same message. I guess the low ratings (1.8 stars as I write this) are validated. So much for my optimism :-(

About this app

Notice: This application only works with the CellGate Watchman product with streaming video. You NEED to have this hardware AND service with CellGate. This application is designed and intended for the sole use by CellGate Access Control and Monitoring Subscribers.

Watchman EVO, by CellGate, is an advanced telephone entry system with live streaming video that allows monitoring and controlled access to your property from anywhere you are. Utilize the Watchman EVO app to receive video calls and visually confirm and speak with visitors are your door or gate.

Functionality: When a visitor arrives at your property, they can either enter an access code that you created in advance online, just for them, or press a call button. When the call button is pressed a call is made to up to three smart phones simultaneously. When the call is answered, you will have a live video stream of the visitor, be able to talk to them and if desired, press a button to open the gate or door. Note, the use of the Watchman will consume data on your phone.

CellGate Cloud: Whenever the call button is pressed or an access code entered, still pictures are captured from all available cameras and transmitted to the web based portal, along with the access code, so there is a log of every event.

The Watchman EVO system can be installed anywhere cellular coverage is available and has options of internet connection. With this easy to use smart phone application, you can be anywhere and still see who is at your property before letting them in!
