About this app

Using a simple encryption algorithm, Cryptogram instantly converts normal text into a jumbled string of unrelated letters and numbers. These encrypted messages can then be sent through virtually any app that's installed on your phone, such as Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger. You can even copy the text to the clipboard.

Cryptogram can help you chat in ciphers. So even if someone is sitting right next to you, they will have absolutely no idea as to what you are chatting. In other words, Cryptogram helps reinforce your privacy on virtually any app that exists.

For every message that you encrypt, a unique four-digit 'decryption key' is generated. Without this key, it is nearly impossible to decrypt the message. The recipient of the message has to have this key to be able to read the real message. How you send this key to your recipient is up to you.

Cryptogram, no matter how secure, does not guarantee the loss or theft of any information shared or created through it. Since the app does not leave behind any traces of the original message, retrieving it is nearly impossible without the correct decryption key.

Cryptogram keeps count of the total number of messages encrypted/decrypted throughout it's lifetime. These statistics are displayed on the starting page of the app. To erase/reset them, just tap on 'Clear Data' in the 'App Info' screen within the android app settings.

Cryptogram is a free app available to android users of all age groups throughout the world. To maintain it's 'free' status, 'banner' advertisements are displayed within the app. Ratings and reviews are highly appreciated; they help us make the app better.
