About this app

Sunrise vPBX Mobile - the mobile Business virtual PBX extension for Android software versions from 2.1.

CAUTION: The activation of a FMC end device in the Business virtual PBX is charged according to the price list. The FMC client has a one-off charge of CHF 45.00 plus VAT. This amount will be shown on your phone bill after activation by Business Sunrise.

The monthly use of the service for Sunrise vPBX is charged per activated end device after the FMC end device has been created in the Business virtual PBX service portal.

Requirement:
The app can only be used in conjunction with a Business virtual PBX and a Business Sunrise mobile rate plan.

Sunrise vPBX is the FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence) client from Business Sunrise. FMC describes the convergence of fixed and mobile networks. Business virtual PBX allows you to fully integrate mobile phones in your phone system. As a result you can also make calls using your landline number (office number) on mobile devices and can therefore even save costs.

It is this easy for your Android end device to become a mobile Business virtual PBX extension:

Step 1:
Upload the free Sunrise vPBX app

Step 2:
Add Sunrise vPBX as the FMC end device and FMC extension in your Business virtual PBX via the service portal (https://serviceportal.vpbx.sunrise.ch) (you can find details about this in the manuals on the service portal at https://serviceportal.vpbx.sunrise.ch/downloads).

Step 3:
Start the Sunrise vPBX app on your Android end device and start the automatic configuration under the Info / Status / Update settings menu item.

Now you can also make calls using your landline number (office number). This also saves you from communicating your private mobile phone number, as in future you have two identities on your Android end device. As a result, you can also use many of the Business virtual PBX functions from your mobile phone (for example, your secretary can see whether you are making mobile calls at the moment from the engaged light on the office phone).

Calls can be made using the most attractive network available (usually WLAN). The call can be switched to the GSM/UMTS network in the event of poor WLAN quality or expected interrupted connection.

Here is a summary of the most important information:

Sunrise vPBX:
• Direct integration of mobile phones into Business virtual PBX
• Worldwide connection to Business virtual PBX by WLAN or GSM/UMTS
• Switch calls between networks (handover)
• All system functions (e.g. Boss / Secretary function, broker calls, conferences etc.) also on mobile phones
• Can be reached on mobile phone through Business virtual PBX mobile phone number and landline number (office number) at the same time
• Simple activation and deactivation of "Sunrise vPBX (FMC) landline phone number on the end device
• Call-through function in order to charge all phone calls that are forwarded via the FMC client centrally via Business virtual PBX at the landline network rate

Making calls in the cloud? From today, you no longer need to invest in telephone system hardware (PBX). With Business virtual PBX from Business Sunrise you can use the most up-to-date technologies for phone systems (PBX), language connections and supplementary services at attractive terms.

The solution can be customized at any time. You decide what service and benefits you require and only pay for the services you actually use. You can always configure any changes yourself via the web portal so that the service meets your current requirements at all times.

Business virtual PBX is run at our high performance computer centers that are designed redundantly and is therefore fail-safe. With more than 100 functions the solution offers a range of services that has previously been reserved predominantly for major groups.

New features

Now also for Android 4.4 KitKat.
