Sometimes the phone recognises the app activation & makes an alert sound so I can find it but then other times the phone shows the app is activated but makes no alert at all. I've tested this a few times both when I've genuinely been looking for my phone & when I've wanted to show friends of the cool feature. They don't think it's that great since it didn't work when I showed them.

You must change which application you want running for your smartband. The downfall is you can only run one at a time. Since I use my band to control my music this app I don't use. But I have it running in the background of the wife's phone since she can never seem to remember where she put her phone. Plus you can choose any ringtone from your library.

If you forget where is your phone and you're standing up to 10 meters away from it and are still connected, well it really does what it promises. But if you forget it on a restaurant table and leave without notice you left it behind, or any other situation you might forget your phone, it's useless, it should also alert when you get disconnected or away from your phone, that's what it is expected to not lose your phone. The advertise says "never again", I doubt that.

Works exactly as advertised with SWR30. Phone out of range alert forms part of the main Sony SmartBand app, so obviously not included in this. Phone must be in Bluetooth range and you must wear the SmartBand, obviously. BT range is about 15-20m indoors for me, which is fine. No, it won't go fetch your phone from the restaurant if you left it there and drove off. :)

Same as using smartwear with your music app only difference is that the music is always loud. It should also automatically activate when phone is out of range or at the very least be an option cause I'm sure most users want this app mostly to alert them when their device is stolen, left in an unsecure place or maybe slips out your pocket and left behind

I often put down my phone and forget where i left it so for me this is awesome lol. Sony actually got something right for a change. Since owning my swr30 i have found many of the apps to be a fail and im still waiting for altimeter i paid for! Anyway this does the job well
