Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing GrooVe IP VoIP Calls & Text on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. I went to install this free app for free incoming calls and when I went to the page to create an account the first thing it says is you have to register with a Paypal account and it costs a $1.00/mo for your number and it charges for incoming and outgoing calls. Uninstalling now. Waste of time.

This is a great app. I use it when I don't want to give people my main number. I have the free version but have purchased minutes with no problems. From their ads I sub'd to Hulu and received abt 700 min. :) Voice quality is not good and I don't always get inbound calls when I test it. I this for texting not voice. My voicemail says it is for texting only. Google Voice is better and more reliable.

I remember I purchased this app for pro version and now it's asking me to repurchase the service on the website again. what kind of scam is this. Look at your rating when you get greedy you go down fast.

I like that voicemail goes to email and credits are easily earned. HOWEVER, my complaint is that the display screen crunches down the number pad as you input more numbers, making navigation through automated menus EXTREMELY difficult if not wholey impossible. The worst scenario is when I have to make a credit card inquiry. Please fix this issue and you'll be perfect!

Was supposed to be assigned a number for free. Had to jump through the hoops, signed up for a membership. Then it wouldn't give me a # unless I bought credits. Waste of time.

I live in the boondocks and a lot of times this app. is the only way I can call out as my POS Galaxy has wifi-calling issues. I give it 1x star because it will drop my call, usually at the beginning, sometimes in the middle, with a loud chime to show me an ad. It happens so often that I have developed a routine. I dial out, wait for it to drop my call with the loud, annoying chime, close the ad, then dial again. Wouldn't be so bad if you didn't already PAY for the minutes! What gives?

About this app

Add a fully featured VoIP number to your device to avoid giving out your personal cell number or turn your tablet into a phone. Get a US phone number that will be able to receive calls and texts from anywhere in the world. In addition, you will be able to call and text real US and Canadian phone numbers using Voice over IP (VoIP) technology. GrooVe IP works on any android device, mobile phone or tablet, and allows you to make calls using the device’s data (WiFi or mobile data) connection. If you have a smart-phone with Wi-Fi connectivity but no mobile plan, you can use this app to convert it to a full-featured working phone. If you are traveling overseas, you can take your device with you and make/receive calls for free on WiFi without paying any carrier roaming charges. You get all of this without using any of your cellular minutes.

You can also make/receive calls using standard SIP clients (soft-phones on PC/Mac/Linux, or standalone SIP phones) using SIP credentials provided by us.

GrooVe IP has a separate dialer that can be used to make calls. Alternatively, the native dialer, call-log, contacts, and favorite functionality can be shared between the phone and GrooVe IP on a call-by-call basis.
