I love this app. I can program which phone rings depending on which WiFi network I'm connected to. So if I'm home, only home phone rings. At work, only desk phone rings. At my parents house, only parent's phone rings. In the car, only my own cell phone rings. (I have my cell phone ring in all locations for those rare times WiFi connection might be flaky.) So far it's been flawless. Question: will GV's transition to Hangouts limit this app, like it will for Groove IP (well, killing Groove IP)?

When I try the advanced auto forwarding settings to determines which numbers my calls are forwarded to based on what wifi network my phone is on, it doesn't work properly. I have two specific wifi settings I want to enable - work and home. When I'm home, I want my calls forwarded to my home number but NOT my work number, and when I'm at work, I want the reverse. But when I try to set up both networks under advanced settings, suddenly ALL numbers are checked for my home network, even after I uncheck my work number and save.

The automatic settings for this app are confusing and limited, and even when you do set them up they don't work correctly. I'm tried of missing calls because of the automatic settings messing up. Useful if you just want it for the quick manual switching of settings, but that's it. I had a 4 star review for a while, I don't know if it's gone down-hill or if I'm just tired of trying to force it to work correctly.

I feel like this should be included with the paid version of Groove IP. It's a pain and sort of confusing have to have another app to so this. The settings are also still confusing as other have said. The wording of settings should be the same as the setting options in Google voice.

I had to find just the right setting on the forwarder and on IP to get it to work the way I wanted. The instructions on Forwarder weren't that straight forward in there wording, but it worked out eventually.

If you want this for fallback without cellular connection this is very simple. This is how to set it up so that Google Voice works on WiFi only, in the event that you cannot get a cell signal. Use the automatic settings feature. It should say that your Google Voice number is forwarding calls to your GrooveIP number. This is how it should be configured. Answer the questions in this order 1. YES 2. Groove IP 3. CELLULAR PROVIDER 4. CELLULAR PROVIDER 5. CELLULAR PROVIDER. On prepaid you'll see "GoPhone", or MetroPCS, etc. So it will be 1. YES 2. Groove IP 3. GoPhone 4. GoPhone 5. GoPhone. Turn off your cellular data to test it, then turn it back on if it works. You'll also need to set up (within the Groove IP app), for the app to only be signed in on WiFi.
