Potentially dangerous app. This is NOT Signal messenger, but some sort of copycat. It links to the real Signal privacy policy, but is in no way shape or form affiliated with Signal. Please beware and do not install this potentially malicious application.

App is really simple to use and very responsive, atleast on my phone anyway. Definitely need to get my family to use it. Keep up the good work devs!

This is hands down the best messaging app out there. It handles all aspects of messaging very well and the UI is designed so simple and convenient. Wish more people could get to know the app and use it. Super secure!

App seems to be okay for me because I actually dont like SMS integration in the original signal so when I found out this didnt have that, quickly installed. Number tho that there are ads.

THIS IS NOT THE GENUINE SIGNAL APP. This is a fork with a nearly identical name and a very similar icon.

app has been really more responsive than the original Signal messenger for me. Loving it!!!

About this app

Signal Private Messenger is a messaging app for simple private communication with friends and family forked from OpenWhisperSystems with more advanced options.

★ Sgnl Plus uses your phone's data connection (WiFi/2G/3G/4G) to communicate securely using an advanced end-to-end encryption protocol that provides privacy for every message every time. Optionally it supports plain SMS/MMS to function as a unified messaging system, and can also encrypt the stored messages on your phone.

★ Using Sgnl Plus, you can securely and privately send / receive Texts, Images, Audio, Video and voice notes along with Contacts, Locations and more to come. You can register using your existing phone number and address book that is NOT uploaded to the server.

★ Make privacy stick: Stickers are now available in the app! You can send stickers in any conversation, add them to pictures using the image editor, and create your own custom sticker packs using Signal Private Messenger Desktop application.

★ Signal Private Messenger is Free and Open Source, enabling anyone to verify its security by auditing the code and check its peer-reviewed cryptographic protocols.

★ A Fast chat app. The "Signal" protocol is designed to operate in the most constrained environment possible. Using Signal Private Messenger, messages are instantly delivered to friends.

★ Speak Freely - Make crystal-clear phone calls to people who live across town, or across the ocean, with no long-distance charges.

★ Whisper in the shadows – Switch to the dark theme if you refuse to see the light and (for OLED users) save battery by doing so.

Many more features to come.
