Woefully outdated application for Android. Despite iHome products being advertised to support Android, you cannot add them with an Android device. The only way I was able to connect my water sensor was to use an iPhone during setup to avoid the no wifi connection issue others have mentioned. iHome either needs to get their act together and properly support Android, or pull the plug on this app. Come on, at least be transparent that adding devices will not work. One star at best.

This companies product DOES NOT work with android. You need an apple device to add smart devices by this company. Once you have setup a device using an Apple product, only then can you control it with an android. If you try and add new devices using Android, it gives an error saying you must connect to WiFi despite the fact you are already connected to WiFi. Can't believe this companies product is carried in major stores yet they clearly false advertise. I was lucky to have a friend with Apple.

If your smart plug is not detected: Connect to the 2.4 GHz network you normally use for wifi. If you already connected to the smart plug wifi, forget the network. Turn on location access in your phone settings because the app needs it and it will not ask to turn it on. It's ridiculous how user unfriendly this app is and I understand why it was on clearance at HD because none of it is easy to set up. Complete failure on iHomes part.

Kind of works. If you notice, the Android app has not been updated since Sept 2018. That is two years since this review. I was able to set up my door sensor using an old iPhone. Rule set up and push notifications do work on the Android so once the devices are added to the account it is usable. It would be nice to have a pause feature on push notifications but since the app is no longer under development I don't see new features happening.

App stopped working. I had a leak sensor installed and was working fine up until Sept 2019. The device apparently went offline, no notification received. I uninstalled the device and hoped to reinstall the sensor but the app just says "please make sure you are connected to wifi" .. and of course I am. Emailed support twice and have received no response. Waste of money and time

Worst Wireless Control App Ever! I'm so glad that we only own one of this company's wirelessly controlled plugs/sockets because if we were out much more money, I'd scream! This plug consistently loses it's wireless connection (and we've got multiple plugs from others who have NO issue staying connected in our house (even in the same location). In trying to remove and reinstall the device from the app, it's constantly telling me I need a wifi connection. App is junk, I've got a connection!
