Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing WazumbeApp BETA on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Welcome to WazumbeApp, the latest service from Multimedia and Advanced Systems. The popularity of chat messaging is well proven - and WazumbeApp is well equipped to do the same. Powered by low-bandwidth XMPP, WazumbeApp can scale to accomodate all Wazumbe around the world.
With WazumbeApp, you can sign-up with just a Facebook account. You can also update your profile picture, status message, contact details and avatar. You can send photos, videos and voice recordings with ease and with no limits - these files are stored safely in the cloud. You can also create group chats in a simple way where other Wazumbe can join (eg. Form 4 Class of 2003, etc.)
One of the coolest technologies of the 21st century, WazumbeApp has HD video calling powered by WebRTC right out of the box. It's peer-to-peer to reduce latency and bandwidth and has a simple user interface that you'd expect from Multimedia and Advanced Systems - easy camera switching, muting and soon the ability to record video.
Instant, easy and free notifications are fully integrated into WazumbeApp. Receive notifications for chat messages, incoming calls and any other custom alerts. As you'd expect, alerts are also presence aware - so you only see them when you should.
