Does exactly what it says it will do. It keeps my hidden contacts and communication with them completely hidden. I love being able to customize fake notifications for each of the hidden contacts. I had a question about the app, so I sent Noah an email and he responded within 20 minutes. Great tech support. Keep up the good work Noah!

Have used this app for several years and been very happy. Now it shows up on the notifications that a "VEGAS SMS" message was received. Making it useless as a HIDDEN messenger. Developer says nothing he can do, so will be deleting and finding another HIDDEN messenger.

Hi Noah. I cannot receive mms from anyone in my hidden contacts. I get the notification vibration but nothing else. I'm using an att galaxy s6 active with android version 6.0.1. What do you suggest that I look at?

Love it. I would suggest making a feature where one can change the app name. When the system shows "Vegas SMS" it kinda defeats the purpose of secrecy....

Nothing protects messages like this app. I was a user of shady and vegas continues the security even more so.

About this app

Welcome to Vegas SMS, where what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Vegas SMS is the evolution the famous Shady SMS for 4.4+ Kitkat phones and you can switch over seamlessly using the convenient backup and restore system in both applications.

Vegas SMS is two parts. One part public, one part secret. The public messaging application has a launcher icon called Vegas SMS. The secret part has absolutely no icon, and no open button, so how do you open the app? Vegas uses telephone dialing code technology to open, the default dialing code is 123. After installing press the open button to activate your dialing code and you’re good to go with the ultimate stealth-messaging vault that only opens by dialing your customizable secret code into the telephone; it’s just like making a phone call.

Vegas SMS is the only fully function secret messaging app, designed for Android 4.4 Kitkat, with absolutely no root required!

All text, picture, and video messages, to a Vegas contact, automatically filter directly into Vegas bypassing everything for extreme security!

★ Vegas SMS has extendable theme support. Look at the other apps I've published to see some simple themes already available.
★ Developers can make customized themes using a simple Github project as a template:

Existing Messages
★ Your existing messages are absolutely safe with Vegas. Just like the competition, and your stock messaging app, all Vegas does is present a user interface for you to interact with your messages. Nothing is transferred and nothing is moved in the Vegas regular messaging app. The secret messaging app it separate from your regular messages for security purposes, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas :-)

Permissions
Vegas SMS uses countless permissions, and I'd like to clarify that my application is %100 malicious code free. It may request fancy scary sounding permissions but I can personally guarantee that all requested permissions are for specific features that you likely will use at some point or another.
