Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing WiFi 6 Channel Selector on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. About this app

If you experience a slow WiFi despite strong signal, interference could be the culprit and this APP may help you.

With the wide spread of mesh WiFi networks, interference level has dramatically increased due to the increasing number of access points in each home. WiFi 6 has the power to handle these denser networks as long as each access point selects a good channel.

I found that not all the access points, at least the ones I have, do a good job in selecting channels with many neighbouring access points around. As this undermined the power of my access points, I wrote this simple APP to optimize their channel selection. As the results turned out to be good, I’d like to share this APP with the folks who’re in a similar situation. This APP should be able to help older access points (e.g 802.11ac, 802.11n) as well as long as you can manually change their channels via their configuration GUI.

This APP is by no means a solution to all under-performing WiFi issues, but a tool for you to eliminate one common cause.
