Hon Jeffah A. Kingi was sworn in as the first governor of Kilifi County on March 2013. Prior to his election as a governor, he was the Minister for Fisheries Development between 2010 to March 2013. He has also served as the Minister for East African community between 2008 and 2010. He has served as the Member of Parliament for Magarini from 2003-2013.
Hon. Kingi received his undergraduate degree in Law from the University of Nairobi

in 1998.
