Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing MTN Web Phone on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

MTN web phone (Uganda) indeed is fantastic. I would have given it a five star like only that at times the app itself faults and rejects its own password coming as a technical problem. MTN Uganda, better you sort this to provide a good user interface for your clients.

This Mtn web application is superb...I always connect with my family while am away in Mogadishu Somalia. Airtime top ups can be done from Uganda using Mtn Mobile Money. Customer care team and Mtn online sim registration team are caring and works faster only except that the technical team needs to work on the web connections which disturbs a times. "Mtn everywhere you go".

The app is extremely good and helpful especially when living abroad. The only challenge is that it is no longer on Google store. MTN has stopped issuing out its number. But the app is really good.

You can call friends and family back home in Uganda at local fixed line rates, allowing you to spend only as much as you would spend while calling from an MTN fixed line in Uganda.
