This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing MyWiFi Caller on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

It works well on a single SIM phone, it works very poorly on a dual SIM device. It does not respect Android interface norms for calling settings replacing the caller UI for both lines causing calls on the non Gamma line to fail if it is activated. The caller interface is clean and uses the address book well. It does have the advantage of working on overseas WiFi also. The saving grace is that you can disable it and only enable as required. Would be better to use a native WiFi interface.

Pathetic. The app installed OK and was validated. Now it crashes immediately on opening. It does not connect to my wifi network. There is no way to change settings as the will not open. This has been reported numerous times to Google and to Honest Mobile. I have received no response from anyone.

Like others, it failed to send the SMS verification code. This might be because this app was designed for the USA so doesn't recognise any number from outside the states. Plus (if you read the t & c) this app does not support SMS, just phone calling so cannot receive the SMS it is trying to send you in the first place! Very poor attempt at an app. Uninstalling.

I have installed this app and received a validation code so the previous issues must have been resolved. It's annoying that you can't adjust the ring volume or change the ring tone but, otherwise, it's an excellent service.

Didn't get the validation code despite trying everything I could think of. I filled in a feedback form and gave them my number when asked but then nothing. Don't even bother with this app.

When good wifi is used, you can't tell the difference between having calls over normal mobile signal or the app. Great quality and easy to use !

Before downloading please contact your mobile provider to find out if your mobile number is compatible with MyWiFi Caller. Non-compatible numbers will not be able to make or receive calls over WiFi using MyWiFi Caller.

MyWiFi Caller enables users with compatible mobile numbers to make and receive calls when connected to a WiFi network. It will help you alleviate any areas of patchy coverage by connecting to an available WiFi network (please note your devices will need to allow a connection to the WiFi network in the usual way). MyWiFi Caller will help you manage your calls more effectively; you can make and receive calls using your standard mobile number when connected to WiFi with no changes to your bill and no extra charges.

Downloading MyWiFi Caller, you will also be able to help reduce roaming charges. Wherever you are in the world and connected to a WiFi network, you will be charged at U.K. rates.

Please note that MyWiFi Caller only provides voice calls over WiFi networks. You will not be able to send or receive SMS messages using this app.
