Even after latest update persistant icon is still up although I disabled it

Put a persistent notification up.... I didn't even use this app anymore and
forgot I had it installed, definitely found it wasn't even nearly as good
as Pulse SMS (which I highly recommend) so I appreciate the reminder to
uninstall this app.

Please remove persistent icon!!!! It is so good. But god i hate extra icons
that are not needed.

Newest update (3.1.3) creates a persistent notification that can't be dismissed and doesn't do anything, even when the persistent notification checkbox for Yap Mode is unchecked.

Have been using for a couple of weeks now, just left Mighty text after five years of them constantly reducing the number of texts that can be sent. I am happy for the most part. My only complaint would be that at times it seems I cannot stay connected to the net so I will be in the middle of sending something and it will disconnect. This goes on for a while at times. Other than that, I like it.

Yappy has a great interface and a worthwhile mission to provide you with a good alternative to PushBullet (which is fantastic, but not cheap). That being said, they fall short when it comes to reliability, at least with my Samsung Galaxy S7. I have Xfinity Mobile (Verizon), but am always on WiFi when I really need Yappy to work, so I don't think it's the network connection. I'm assuming they work better on other phones or something because they have gotten pretty good reviews on here. I am now trying out Pulse SMS (the Windows 10 app along with the Android app) and so far it's much more reliable and has a very clean, modern interface. But I do miss the style of the Yappy app. If Pulse doesn't remain solid, I'll just have to bite the bullet, so to speak!
