A IBOC como e apelidada carinhosamente por seus congregantes e comunidade ,surgiu no dia 18 de agosto de 2008 após o atual Apostolo Sinval, anteriormente diácono na antiga Igreja Batista Corban, vindo de uma escola bíblica dominical onde o espirito santo ministrou em seu coração o nome da futura congregação Igreja Batista oliveiras de Cristo e assim aconteceu em setembro de 2010.
