I have just uninstalled it because of the addition of in-app purchases and various authorities that are not required and intrusive. I was going to switch these off within android, but it seems that this is only possible for a few selected authorities. So, no choice but to uninstall

You failed to mention that when you re-engineered the app, not only did you make the app much worse and far less accurate - you also includeed in-app banner adverts, along with a full-screen exit nag-ware advert. Me thinks this app now fails to comply with Google Plays T&Cs. !!
