Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing BleParser on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

About this app

BleParser is used scan and log the info from BLE peripherals like Glucometers, Heart rate meters, Wrist bands… etc
The log info includes services and characteristics broadcast by the BLE peripheral.
Option to email the log file.

=======Test steps=====

Make sure your phone and BLE device is fully charged

Pair the phone with BLE device

Open the app. it will start scanning. Automatically stops scanning after 20 seconds

If you want to start scan again then click on “scan” menu in the top right of the app bar

You can also stop scanning by clicking on “stop” menu in the top right of the app bar

Once it finds a device then device name and address in displayed

Click on the device details to see the services offered by the BLE device

Now the phone will try to read the characteristics broadcast by the BLE device

You can see the characteristics value one by one in Tx Data field in the UI. Characteristics values are read in 3 seconds interval.

Wait for the progressbar to close. Progressbar closes at the end of all ble characteristics read.

If you don’t’ see progressbar spinning then enable animations in developer settings in your phone.

Come back to main screen

Click on “Send log” menu to send the log

This will open the email app with log attached

Enter the email address and send

You may clear the log using the “Clear log” menu in top right
