Chat

Hey Yapp! comes with powerful instant messaging right out of the box. Powered by Quickblox backend technologies, with compatibility for server-side chat history, group chats, attachments and user avatars, it's pretty powerful. It also has chat bubbles and user presence (online/offline).

Chat Users

Hey Yapp! users can sign-up with just a Facebook account or sign in with an email address. They can also update their profile picture, status message, contact details and avatar.

Chat Media

Send photos, videos and voice recordings with ease and with no limits - these files are stored safely in the Quickblox cloud.

Chat Groups

Whether it's the football team or your family, creating a group chat is so simple that your grandma could do it (and if she does, it's easy to leave too)


Video calling

One of the coolest technologies of the 21st century, Hey Yapp! has HD video calling powered by Quickblox WebRTC right out of the box. It's peer-to-peer to reduce latency and bandwidth and has a simple user interface that you'd expect from the tech giants - easy camera switching and muting.

WebRTC is a great solution for video and audio calling. WebRTC itself it open-source, so you can modify the code as much as you wish, or you can trust the thousands of skilled developers who contributed to it’s development.

Push notifications

Instant, easy and free notifications are fully integrated into both the iOS and Android versions of Hey Yapp!. Receive notifications for chat messages, incoming calls and any other custom alert that you want to send from the CMS style messages dashboard. As you'd expect, they're also presence aware - so users only see them when they should.

Alerts

Send alerts to your users whenever you want - whether it be a product update, a warning notification or just to say happy birthday - it's available.

Custom messages

Customise messages from chatting friends with the aid of merge tags, badge counter customization and more. You can convey exactly the message you want.

Dashboard

Configure your push settings, send alerts to your users and view your past messages through the easy-to-use Quickblox CMS-style dashboard
