This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing iSmeye on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Nice app, easy to use and practical. Has motion detector (I was specially looking for a cam with this), the image is clearer than in other apps (devices). I am happy with this product... did I mention, that it is super easy to set it up :)

There are certianly some latency prpblems between hardware and software, software and server, server and cell provider, or possibly between cell provider and the Android OS. These issues delay camera motion events from notifying the phone in a reasonable amount of time preventing this platform from being truely a "real time" monitoring option. I find manually unpowering the cameras once every few days makes this delay minimal(3s to 15s). Overall a great medium to low cost surveillance option.

Playback doesn't work.... just spins or says no recording even though I have it set to save to 64 memory card. The cloud option pop up is annoying and doesn't let you skip past to the next screen. I have a feeling that if you don't buy the addition service the app is good for live viewing only. Can't save or view any earlier recordings.

I love this camera when the app works. I keep getting an error message that Ismeye stopped working. I thought it was my outdated phone so I bought a new one. Still get the error. Very frustrating!!! I need to get some footage and I'm not able to access it.
