About this app
This is a companion app to the UrSOSButton hardware but also has many functions that can be used without the additional hardware.
UrSOSButton™ is a key-fob that is lightweight and discreet. Its design makes it easy to summon help in an emergency. It links to any Android smartphone, sending text messages and phone call alerts to your family, friends and colleagues.
UrSOSButton™ hardware is available as a separate purchase from www.ursosbutton.com or www.islesystems.com.
UrSOSButton™ is different from other SOS devices. It works will all Android devices, not just premium devices. It has a rechargeable battery which lasts up to a year or more. It’s simple to use. No data connection needed to send an alert. Your screen can be locked with a pin code and it will still work. It’s designed to be an SOS button.
There are no recurring fees, monitoring fees or hidden charges with UrSOSButton™ or its free companion app, UrSOSButton™ Personal. UrSOSButton™ is designed to work independently of internet connections or any hosted services. When an alert is activated, SMS text messages are sent and voice calls are made to up to 5 selected contacts.
SMS text alerts contain a Map link to your location, GPS coordinates, Nearest Address and personal text. To further enhance your safety and security UrSOSButton™ can also automatically call 5 selected contacts.
PIN Code protected remote management of the app is also included. This allows for remote Position Requests, Start/Stop Tracking and Remote SOS Activation/Deactivation. All remote requests are performed using SMS text messaging so there is no reliance on a cloud server and there are no fees for this!.
UrSOSButton™ Key-fob weighs only 16 grams. It can be attached to a key chain or lanyard or popped into a shirt pocket and will be barely noticeable. It’s similarity to a car alarm key-fob makes it easy to use discreetly and because of in-built vibration feedback no one would know but you when you’ve activated it.
UrSOSButton™ is there when you need it. It has an internal rechargeable battery which when fully charged can last up to a year or more and charging only takes about 45 minutes. You can be up to 50 meters (LOS) from your phone and UrSOSButton™ will still be able to raise the alarm. Even if your phone screen is locked UrSOSButton™ is able to activate your alert.
UrSOSButton™ gives you, your family, friends and colleagues true peace of mind knowing that "Help is only a button press away".
