Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Irish VoIP on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Very unreliable, connection faills most of the time. Tech support use to be good, but this is no longer the casr. Waste of money, find anothher ,VOIP service.

I started using this service when I lived in No. Jersey. Since I have relatives in Ireland it was a godsend. I was able to use an Irish phone number. For a while, no problem. I even used it at my new location where I stayed temporarily. However, I have a new permenant home and this service will not register on my phone. Efforts to get help from their customer service people has also failed. I used it w Sprint and then Verizon. Now I have a different carriers, using g the same phone, and it won't register. Therefore I cannot use this service for it's intended use. This puts me at a disadvantage, where I used it to keep in touch with relatives. I would check carefully that they can accommodate your needs before you sign on.

I've been using this app for a couple of months now. I'm happy enough with it. It has fallen over and crashed a few times but that's probably due to my phone incompatibility rather than anything else? I especially like the reminder of available credit, once it associated and registered, very handy. There is nothing better than using the soft-phone to answer a landline call from the warmth of the bed!!
