Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing SMS ReStore SMS Messages No Ads on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

SMSReStore App will allow you to Restroe all your SMS Messages after Backing up using SMSBackup App from a file mastersms.txt
SMSBackup is at : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.iraju.smsbackup

This mastersms.txt can be transfered to other Smartphones to Restore SMS to mulitple SmartPhones.

You can Restore SMS Messages from a Single Smartphone or Multiple Smartphones.

After you have a combined SMS Backup file mastersms.txt with SMSes from Multiple Smartphones use SMSRestore to restore your SMS Messages.

Warning: If problem arises with sending and receiving SMS Messages, the Goto Setting and change the Default App to "Messages" as shown in Fig 6.

This App is really helpful for the following Scenarios:

1. Want to reset your Smartphone and recover your SMS Messages ?
Install SMSBackup App and store the mastersms.txt file in a seperate Phone or Computer.
After your reset your Smartphone then Install SMSReStore to restore your SMS Messages from mastersms.txt file.

2. You want to Restore SMS Messages from all of your Smartphones to a Single Smartphone.
Install SMSBackup App on all your Smartphones.
Click "Backup SMS" button on the first Smartphone.
Copy over the mastersms.txt from first Smartphone to your Second Smartphone Storage/savesms/mastersms.txt location.
Click "Backup SMS" button on the Second Smartphone.
Keep transferring the mastersms.txt file to all other Smartphones before clicking on the "Backup SMS" button.
Now you have all of your Smartphones SMSes from all of your Smartphones in one mastersms.txt file.
Now Install SMSRestore on the Smartphone your want to Recover or Restore the SMS Messages to.
Copy the mastersms.txt file which contains the SMS Messages of all the Smartphones to Storage/savesms/mastersms.txt location.
Now Open SMSRestore and Click on the "Restore SMS" button.

To install SMSRestore App:
1. Install SMSRestore App on your Android Smartphone.
2. Copy the mastersms.txt file or make sure the mastersms.txt file in the location Storage/savesms/mastersms.txt location.
2. Click on the "Restore SMS" button.
3. Now you will have all the SMS Messages on your Smartphone by opening your SMS program.
