Using BlueStacks

Didn't have this as default messenger app because message+ had a nicer layout. But then I seen that it had spam blocking and lord knows I have been getting a lot of them, so I made messages my default app. Just to find out that I am not able to turn on the blocking settings. I am in the market to find a better default texting app.

This HTC text message app hasn't really changed since the first HTC I bought 10 years ago. Works fine, it should after years of use with no real feature updates, but it just lacks some basic features and options. I currently use the Pulse messaging app, but there are many with different looks and feel. Don't be afraid to delete the HTC app and use another. You can always reinstall if you want, but I don't think you will after trying something more modern...

Not impressed with this app from HTC. No thread view background wallpaper option. No black theme for us night owls. Doesn't disable notifications completely (can still read full message from drop down notification bar), even when disabled. Doesn't allow automatic link previews. Having to use another sms app. On the plus side, I love the phone U11 😍📱

I have been using HTC phones for ever, I was always happy with it. I had to replace my HTC U11 phone with another HTC U11, same phone same number, but this phone isn't receiving third party messages. Like I'm unable to install any new apps on this phone or sign up on my old apps (facebook, linkin, indeed, messenger, venmo, etc) bcs I am unable to receive the text codes they send to this phone. Please help. I will like to be able to disable this app and use a different one since isn't working!

Simple. Has everything you need, and id the easiest and most practical to use for dual sim phones.

It doesn't show contact names anymore. When I open the app it shows the contacts for a second and then only shows the phone number anymore! But the app definitely has access to the contacts and uses it, because I can type in the contact name in the search function and it shows me the threats!
