USE SMART LIFE APP INSTEAD. The simple home app failed to alert me when my door was opened or closed even after multiple uninstall reinstalls and varying sound/popup was enabled from the app on both app settings through my phone and settings direct from the simple home app I took the advice of a previous review and downloaded the SMART LIFE APP. The Smart Life app is equally compatible and it does send notifications and alert me with sound when my door is opened.

Just downloaded the app right now and set it to alert me when the door is open and went into my phone settings and changed those to allow it to send notifications, sound and push, but it still won't send anything when I open the door. Downloaded Smart Life and it worked perfectly, don't both with this app.

It notifies me everytime the sensor opens and closes but I wish the notifications wouldnt remain in the notifcation drawer. I end up having dozens per day when I only want to know when it is open. I don't like having to swipe away each notification.

The app doesn't notify me when there is a change in the sensor's status (open or closed). I have to open the app and check the status. Therefore, it is basically useless!

Great Customer Service. Don't be rushed to write a review. They made an upgrade and they make a mistake with notifications. After they update the application is working perfect. I had an issue with one of my device and I ask them to send me another one. They send with no cost. Great Quality .
