Fills the void left by Google Latitude. Interface is not obvious. The displayed address is not a search box to centre a new fence, it's the title of the new fence being made. To move a fence from your current location you must long press on the map. This is not communicated anywhere.

Even though I have set it to not send in or out of the geo fence it still sends sms notifications

Coincidentally I was looking for something like this for my Niece! I love the minimalistic design that also follows Google's Material design guidelines. This app just does the job well, no BS or ads. Thanks

About this app

Fency allows you to tell your phone: "When I leave or arrive here, send a SMS message to this group of people."

Now think about all those times when you had to text people just to let them know you arrived at their door, or you're leaving work, or you're turning into their street and they should get ready, though you really shouldn't be texting because you're driving. Yeah... Set a geo-fence around their house ahead of time and let your Android do the text messaging on your behalf.

We want it to be super easy to create a geo-fence, as it is to enabled and disable them. It literally takes seconds to create a new fence and add contacts to notify. Fency figures out most of the information for you, like the name of the triggering location. It's a convenient tool we built for ourselves. We hope it will help you too. And no ads, as all our other apps, and as it should be :)
