This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Cardboard Design Lab on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

I really had high hopes but then when I went on it, it showed two white blocks with a setting icon and I pressed it and I went to the app and then it told me my device isn't Compatible!!!! That really is a Bummer! And I have a VR set that told me to go to Cardboard! I think my Device is Compatible but whatever.

You must have Cardboard installed, but once you have that app you can access Cardboard Design from within it. I was easily able to access the menu options without a headset and i was walked through basic calibrations of the program. Im eager to dive into Foundation and Immersive modes fully, and report back on the overall quality of the platform. Looks amazing so far and easy access. As long as there are no annoying 360°vr ads in there... 😑

Haven't downloaded yet. I have Cardboard app but need editor. My storage is so full that I had to delete a few apps. BTW not this app's fault. I like Cardboard app, so I bet I'll like Cardboard DESIGN LAB!!!

It only brings me to a grey screen and stays ont it. I never even go the chance to see it!
