The idea is fantastic the implementation not so much. Essentially there hasn't been any development in a long while and the project feels quite like it's an idea waiting to happen. Furthermore, it seems like support ios basically over, and the app is broken in the interactions with with other apps: for example getting images from GPhotos to recognize familiar faces no longer seem to work. Another dead product from Google.

Lose your phone? Trade it in for an upgrade? Factory reset it? If so, you lose access to your camera unless you factory reset it, which erases everything from it. C'mon Google, I get security is important but this is ridiculous. Remove some "simplicity" from the device so those people, like me, who have priceless video animations on the device of their newborn child can still access them if they wipe their phone or replace it. Tie it to a Google account, or a hardware identifier of the device to allow future access. Phone support basically says: "you should have downloaded the files from your Clips camera 1) before you lost your phone, 2) before you traded it in, 3) before you factory reset it." REAL HELPFUL. THANKS!

overpriced sync problem doesnt download needs several attempts , may update rating if faster transfer by cable feature added and longer clips or continuous video recording option added , it can be used as security cam in that case
