safeDriver Advance runs on your loved one’s phone and will block incoming and outgoing phone calls when the driver exceeds your designated speed. Also, when this speed is reached the device is locked. On Android 4.3 and earlier this app also blocks text messages. A Device Admin policy is used to lock the phone. This is needed for the app but the app can be removed by following the directions below.
safeDriver Advance blocks calls when you tell it too and stops blocking when told. This is accomplished by setting a principal phone in safeDriver Advance. Than from this phone you would send the SMS text message “activate” to block and “deactivate” to stop blocking. If you wish, you can use the free app safeDriver Principal to send these messages for you.
safeDriver Advance runs all the time. Even rebooting your device does not stop this app. So, their phone calls will be blocked when they’re not driving. If you wish to stop or uninstall the app you must first use the Terminate App menu option. This stops it and releases the admin policy. After that they will receive phone calls and you can uninstall the app. (On Android 7.0+ the app can be uninstalled without using the Terminate option. There are other ways to remove this app so periotic checking may be required).
Functions:
When you first run the app, it places you on the setup page where you create the app’s password, triggering speed, principal phone number and allowed phone numbers. Any of these items may be changed at any time after reentering the app’s password. The Principal Phone is the device that would send the activate/deactivate SMS text messages. The Allowed Phone Numbers are numbers that can be called or received regardless of the driver’s speed. Up to five allowed phone numbers can be entered.

safeDriver Advance not store any personal information. Phone numbers that you enter are encrypted to assure your privacy. No information about you is sent to PrettyPuppy Apps or anyone associated with PrettyPuppy Apps through this app.
