It has been a great app. It has also worked for my calendar, but the problem I have is I cannot export the Local Account data to import into the new phone, how can I do this? The calendar I use is aCalendar and it relies heavily on synchronising and there doesn't appear to be a way to export from the Local Account in the calendar to import into the calendar on the new phone. I thought Local Account only worked for contacts. Please help.

Thank God this app exists. It allows you to create a local account, so you can choose to save your contacts in the phone memory instead of in the cloud, linked to a Google account. I really hope it never stops working, Android 10 and still works fantastic.

was working great with google pixel 1. now after the switch to google pixel 3, following is displayed: your phone has no local contact account. the google account will fetch all contacts which are not assigned to any account.... I wish I could submit 2 screenshots to this rating. Of course I have myphoneexplorer installed and a have mylocalaccount installed.

Those who can not see the account (the app isn't supposed to have a interface/ icon in drawer) when they try to add new contact, go to "Users and Accounts" inside Settings and select "Add Account". You will see the local account listed there! Add it and voila!!

Great app. Helps to keep your data to yourself and not to share it with Evil Corp!

Every time I turned off my phone, all my contacts would disappear. This app fix the problem. It took me a little while to figure it out because there were no directions, but I did. Thank you very much.
