I absolutely loved this app. Its user friendly, well made, and is exactly what I need for organizing my thoughts and ideas before I forget them. I would love to give five stars, however, unfortunately it keeps deleting my scenes 😔 It happened once and I was willing to write it off as a glitch and move on but then it happened 2 or 3 more times. I write them down, leave the app, and next time I go in it's deleted all the words. I can't get those back now and spent a long time writing them 😔

I've tried all the writing apps, and this one is hands down the best. After a few days I was ready to try the pro version. I opted to try it for 5 days and pay for a yearly subscription. So far I have no plans to cancel my purchase. It's a great tool that I find handy to use. There is a scroll issue in some text areas. But it's not bothersome enough for me to ditch the app. Hopefully an update at some point will fix it.

I really like this app, but it has room for improvement. For one, when you create a series, the characters change throughout. The goals in book 1 aren't going to be the same as in book 3. But there is no way to set new goals without creating a whole new character sheet for each book. When you have 50 characters it becomes really tedious. There is also a duplication glitch. Next, the relationship chart loads sooo sloooow. I wish there were multiple chart options so you can make family trees.

I've been using this app for the past year now and made many varieties of stories but now, I think there is a bug issue. I got a new phone and downloaded Fabula and uninstalled it immediately because it keeps scrolling on me when I'm typing. No matter how many times I keep bringing it back to the top to fix some typos it would immediately go to the bottom. EDIT: It's still acting crazy and I'm unsure of what to do. The update fixes the bugs but it still scrolls it down to the bottom after.

This app has lots of potential, if they offered a premium version of the app without the ads and allowed even furthet customization then I'd say its the best way to write a book Update: they offered a premium version of the app. That was 2 years ago, been using it ever since. Best writing app I've ever used. Didn't know much about the snowflake method or any other writing structures until i downloaded this app. I really like this way to write stories.

So far, this app is very useful and elegant with just a couple functionality suggestions. I would love it if there was a way to rearrange items (like character appearance tags), import information from one book to another (like copying reoccurring characters in a series), and a specific section for setting/world building descriptions. Also please add dark mode! Aside those minor tweaks, this app is awesome!

About this app

Write your first novel

Still can’t gather your strength? It happens pretty often. Writing books is easy; it’s hard to write good books. If this were not the case, we would all be creating bestsellers.
Every writer spends a lot of time thinking about a novel. Perhaps you are doing some research. You are calculating how the story will develop. You brainstorm, hear how the characters speak: it’s the essential part of creating a book. Your book has already formed in your head, and you are ready to sit down and start writing.

Organize your books

Before you get down to business, you should deal with organizational issues. It would be best to write down all the ideas in a form that you can then use. But why? Because our memory is unreliable and because your story (like any other that is at the same stage) has many holes that need to be patched before you start working. It would be best if you created a plan for the novel: in this case, it will not discourage you from writing.

“Snowflake Method”

The Fabula app is based on the “snowflake method” invented by Randy Ingermanson. You can quickly write novels, stories, fairy tales, fanfiction, any story. In just nine easy steps, you can create an outline for your book and start writing your first draft.
Fabula is your book writing assistant.
